Sailing Through Psalms Week 1 – Schedule

Welcome to Week 1 in the Book of Psalms!
In this post, I’ll be going over our schedule, daily verses for this week, Bible study method, how YOU can be featured here on the blog, a few other things and another announcement regarding Love Like Confetti. There’s always something fun happening here, LLC is the place to be! (^_^)

Our ship starts sailing tomorrow, girls!
(Don’t worry if you miss it, we’ll come back to shore for anyone who’s late to the party!)

Here’s the reading plan for this week:

Here’s the verses of the day to reflect on for this week (for those of you who may need them):
Monday, Psalm 1:2
“But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
Tuesday, Psalm 2:11 – “Serve the Lord with fear,
And rejoice with trembling.”
Wednesday, Psalm 3:3 – “But You, O Lord, are a shield for me,
My glory and the One who lifts up my head
Thursday, Psalm 4:4 – “Be angry, and do not sin.
Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still.
Friday, Psalm 5:3 – “My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord;
In the morning I will direct it to You,
And I will look up.

This is the Bible Study method we’ll be using (it’s totally OK if you decide to do a method that you find even more helpful, like the S.O.A.P. method for example):

Read: This is where we do our Bible Coloring and annotations.
Write: This is where we really slow down and focus on God’s Word, word for word. Remember to make your journals fun and colorful, the more inviting they are, the more likely you will keep writing! Check out this post for Scripture writing tips, and this post for Scripture writing tools!
Reflect: {This step should be done very prayerfully} This is where we reread the passage, select 1 or 2 verses and ask ourselves – “How can I apply this to my life?” Why are we answering this question? Because out of all of the questions that we could list, THIS question matters the most. The answer to this question is where change begins. Where we step out on faith and willingly allow God to lead us. Remember, the main point of this Bible Study is to ENGAGE with scripture… So that we can LIVE IT OUT, in addition to knowing God more. (You can write this step down in either your bible or journal!) Check out the bottom of this post for an example of how I do this step.

This is a helpful Bible Coloring chart (from, for you to use if you don’t have your own already. If you are choosing to do the Bible marking portion of this study, please don’t let it discourage you. It will look different for us all, for the fact that God speaks to us all differently. If you need tips for creating your own Bible Marking key, click here. For other Bible marking options, check out this post!

Remember to tag any photos that you may post with #lovelikeconfetti (@lovelikeconfetti) and #goodmorninggirls! Be sure to follow along with other girls and show them lots of love, like confetti! For those of you who tag your posts, you’ll get a chance to be featured here on the blog on Friday’s during our weekly roundups! If you don’t have a blog or use social media, please feel free to email me your devotions throughout the week!

Every Sunday, I’ll share our Bible study schedule.
Throughout the week (M-Th), I’ll be sharing a couple of posts related to our Bible study here, as well as a few other types of posts. I have so many new things planned for the blog in the coming weeks/months.
On Friday’s I’ll be sharing YOUR pictures/posts!

In other news, The Confetti Shop’s listings has been updated to where you can now, send me your Bible and whenever it’s returned to you, it’ll be a beautiful {Confetti} Bible! Yay! Click this link for more details.
Also in other news, isn’t the cartoon me SO cute?! :-))
