Sailing Through Psalms Week 4 – Schedule

Welcome to Week 4 in the Book of Psalms!
We are almost halfway through, girls!
In this post, I’ll be going over our schedule, daily verses for this week, Bible study method and how YOU can be featured here on the blog.
I encourage you to hop on board to join us if you haven’t yet, to find out more information about this Bible study, click here!

Here’s the reading plan for this week:

Here’s the verses of the day to reflect on for this week (for those of you who may need them):
Monday, Psalm 16:8
 “I have set the Lord always before me;
Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.
Tuesday, Psalm 17:7 – “Show Your marvelous lovingkindness by Your right hand, O You who save those who trust in You From those who rise up against them.
Wednesday, Psalm 18:2 – “The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
Thursday, Psalm 19:14 – “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.
Friday, Psalm 20:7 – “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;
But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

This is the Bible Study method we’ll be using (it’s totally OK if you decide to do a method that you find even more helpful, like the S.O.A.P. method for example):

Read: This is where we do our Bible Coloring and annotations.
Write: This is where we really slow down and focus on God’s Word, word for word. Remember to make your journals fun and colorful, the more inviting they are, the more likely you will keep writing! Check out this post for Scripture writing tips, and this post for Scripture writing tools!
Reflect: {This step should be done very prayerfully} This is where we reread the passage, select 1 or 2 verses and ask ourselves – “How can I apply this to my life?” Why are we answering this question? Because out of all of the questions that we could list, THIS question matters the most. The answer to this question is where change begins. Where we step out on faith and willingly allow God to lead us. Remember, the main point of this Bible Study is to ENGAGE with scripture… So that we can LIVE IT OUT, in addition to knowing God more. (You can write this step down in either your bible or journal!)

After writing out Scripture, I write my reflections onto the same page. See the photos below for an example:

This is a helpful Bible Coloring chart (from, for you to use if you don’t have your own already. If you are choosing to do the Bible marking portion of this study, please don’t let it discourage you. It will look different for us all, for the fact that God speaks to us all differently. If you need tips for creating your own Bible Marking key, click here. For other Bible marking options, check out this post!

Remember to tag any photos that you may post with #lovelikeconfetti (@lovelikeconfetti) and #goodmorninggirls! Be sure to follow along with other girls and show them lots of love, like confetti!
